UPCYCLE

Created in partnership with Goodwill of Southern Nevada, this annual exhibition invited 50 local artists to transform donated and found materials into original works of art that celebrate sustainability, spark creativity, and strengthen community connections.

Las Vegas, NV
PROJECT OVERVIEW

Presented annually by Slonina ARTSpace in partnership with Goodwill of Southern Nevada, UPcycle brings together 50 local artists to reimagine donated, thrifted, and found materials as original works of art.

Working across sculpture, painting, collage, mixed media, and installation, participating artists transform everyday objects into unexpected creative expressions that highlight the possibilities of reuse. Each piece challenges conventional ideas about waste and value while demonstrating how discarded materials can become sources of inspiration.

Opening during the monthly Second Saturday Art Party and remaining on view throughout November, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages to engage with themes of sustainability, innovation, and community. By combining environmental awareness with artistic exploration, UPcycle creates meaningful connections between local artists, audiences, and Goodwill’s mission of extending the life of donated goods through creative reuse.
