ROBIN SLONINA
Artist, creative director, producer, and advocate for immersive art experiences.
☆ ARTIST STATEMENT
Robin Slonina is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative practice spans body painting, canvas painting, murals, sculpture, and site-specific installations. Much of her work is interactive, inviting audiences to experience art rather than simply observe it.
Robin believes art should be accessible, participatory, and woven into everyday life. By removing the traditional “Do Not Touch” barriers, she creates immersive experiences that encourage curiosity, connection, and play.
☆ CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Robin is a producer and judge on the hit body painting competition series Skin Wars, alongside RuPaul, Rebecca Romijn, and Craig Tracy. She also served as Executive Producer and Judge for the live runway competition Battle of the Salons, alongside LaGanja Estranja and Samuel Gutierrez.
A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Robin spent several years traveling internationally through visiting arts programs, exploring the intersections of art, culture, and community.
For the past 15 years, Las Vegas has been her adopted home. Inspired by the city’s unique blend of desert landscapes and iconic neon, she founded Skin City Body Painting and Slonina ARTSpace, and co-founded AC⚡️LV Magazine, an arts and culture publication dedicated to amplifying the creative voices shaping Southern Nevada.
☆ COMMUNITY & ADVOCACY
Robin is a passionate advocate for the arts and an active supporter of local charitable organizations. She serves on the Las Vegas Arts District Board and works as Artist Liaison for Meow Wolf Las Vegas, helping strengthen connections between artists, institutions, and the broader community.
She currently lives in Las Vegas with her son, Leo, and her partner, Jimmy Slonina, an actor and performer with Cirque du Soleil.
☆ SELECTED EXHIBITIONS & COLLECTIONS
Robin’s artwork has been collected and exhibited internationally in galleries, museums, and public spaces around the world, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Smart Museum of Art, Peace Museum, Sedona Arts Academy, Contemporary Art Workshop, University of Chicago, DePaul University, Art-O-Mat, Artemisia Gallery, Ambrosino Gallery, Lucky Gallery, and the Baraka Art Complex.
In Las Vegas, her work has been exhibited at Recycled Propaganda, AREA15, Life Cube, Emergency Arts, Atomic Todd Gallery, The Smith Center, Springs Preserve, and the Arts Factory.
