Robin Barcus-Slonina can't wait to see herself on TV with Rebecca Romijn and RuPaul. The School of the Art Institute of Chicago graduate and former city resident is a producer and judge on "Skin Wars" — a Game Show Network competition starring Romijn as host and RuPaul as a fellow judge.

I think this is going to open people's eyes to the art of body painting. Decorating the body is such an old tradition throughout all cultures and I feel like everybody can enjoy this show. It really is treated as a fine art canvas on this show.

“It’s so vibrant to me as an art form because it’s temporary,” she says. “And you have to seize and embrace the experience while it’s right there in front of you, because tomorrow it will be gone.”

Artist Robin Barcus Slonina creates wonderful dress sculptures out of unusual materials like garbage bags, poker chips, and beach balls. She has created the sculptures for multiples series, including: “State of Dress,” a series of dresses inspired by U.S. states, and “99¢ Only Store,” a series of dresses made of items purchased at dollar stores.

Robin Barcus Slonina is an artist who creates novel items of clothing from unusual materials, such as a bikini made out of poker chips and a dress made of wiffle balls. For a while, she was composing "a site-specific, interactive 'dress' sculpture in each state of the union."

The reality competition has dubbed itself "a Project Runway for body paint" and aims to find the best body painters around.
